SafeTALK Community Training

SafeTALK is part of Eastern Harmony’s community education efforts, designed to help community members recognize signs of emotional distress and connect individuals to professional support.

SafeTALK stands for “Suicide Alertness For Everyone” and is designed to increase community awareness and intervention skills. In three hours, participants learn how to:

-Recognize warning signs of suicide in peers, students, friends, or family members.

-Engage in supportive, compassionate conversations with individuals who may be at risk.

-Connect those in crisis to professional resources and life-saving supports.

Instructors use examples and videos to lecture. We will have SafeTALK programs throughout the year. Email info@easternharmonymh.org to sign up. This program is free for everyone, 15+!

Eastern Harmony Mental Health does not provide clinical or crisis intervention services. SafeTALK training focuses on awareness and connection to professional resources.
